Last experiment of my PhD. Artificial mine water containing the metalloid antimony was inoculated into columns. Some colomns contained our bacteria of interest (the ones that immobilize antimony) and others not (the control). The goal was to assess outflow water of all the columns and observe if the antimony levels of the columns containing the bacteria decreased compared to the inflow water.
